Terms and Conditions
1. ‘Hire’ of a camper van includes the vehicle and all camping accessories, fully comprehensive motor insurance for one driver and RAC breakdown cover.
‘Hire’ of any other Rent A Dub vehicle includes the vehicle, fully comprehensive insurance (unless stated otherwise) for one driver and RAC breakdown cover.
2. Selected accessories are subject to availability and may incur additional hire costs, which are payable upon collection of the vehicle.
3. Additional, qualifying drivers may be added to your classic VW hire, subject to a small surcharge of £10 per day..
4. Unless agreed otherwise, your vehicle will be ready for collection from 11am on stated first day of hire, and vehicles must be returned by 3pm on the due return day
5. All bookings are subject to availability. Please check with Rent A Dub before placing your booking if you are unsure of anything.
6a. BOOKING: A non-refundable deposit of £150 is required upon booking to secure your vehicle. If this is more than the cost of hire, the full amount will be required upon booking.
6b. HIRE: A fully-refundable security deposit of £500 is required upon collection of your vehicle. This can be either cash, or signed and dated cheque.
This will be returned to you in full, providing we receive our vehicle back in the same condition as when we gave it to you. Fair swap!
7. All outstanding balances must be paid two weeks before your rental commences.
8. In the event of any insurance claim or damage, the first £500 of any costs incurred will come from your security deposit!
9. We are unable to provide any insurance for personal contents, and would advise all customers to ensure they take out such cover for their own possessions.
10. In an effort to make sure you have a clean and tidy camper to collect at the agreed time, it’s important we get our campers back on time, fully fuelled.
To make sure of this, Rent A Dub will charge customers £25 for every hour (or part thereof) that a camper is out after its due return time.
11. Rent A Dub will also charge customers £1.50 per litre for any extra fuel required upon return of a vehicle.
12. There are no mileage restrictions, but customers must inform Rent A Dub before booking if they wish to use one of our campers outside of the UK.
13. All vehicles are right hand drive aircooled VWs with a current MoT certificate and, where applicable, full road tax paid.
14. All Rent A Dub vehicles are fitted with seat belts for a driver and three further passengers, unless stated otherwise.
15. In the event of a problem with your vehicle beyond our control, or if your vehicle cannot be repaired within a reasonable time period, a replacement vehicle will be offered. If no suitable replacement is available, you will be refunded for the proportion of the hire period remaining.
16. The customer must provide two forms of photo I.D. upon collection of the vehicle. One of these must be the driving licence(s) of the nominated driver(s).

18. We accept credit and debit cards through the PayPal system, which, unfortunately incurs a 3.5% surcharge.
19. As laid out by our insurers, acceptable hirers are defined as:
· Any person between 25 and 70 years old and holding a full British Licence for more than 24 months.
· Free from physical defect or infirmity.
· Not been convicted of any motoring offence in the following categories TT/AC/BA/CD/DD/DR/UT/XX within the past 5 years. Or has not been convicted of more than ONE of the following motoring offences in categories CU/IN/LC/MS/MW/PC/PL/SP/TS in the past 3 years.
· Not been involved in more than one accident in the past 3 years.
· Not engaged in any of the following:
1. professional entertainment or sport
2. Foreign service personnel
3. Courier use or fast food delivery
Drivers not qualifying may at times be included, subject to additional terms. This must be approved with the insurers PRIOR to hire.
